A little history:
Le Pré Catelan is the former Relais de Poste du Château du Tanit which disappeared in 1955 and its existence goes back
in the 18th century.
The ground floor was built between 1730 and 1780. enlarged in 1830 and then in 1920.
The first floor added in 1830 then the 2nd floor in 1920 and finally the 3rd floor in 1955.
We took over the Pré Catelan in 2000 and carried out several renovations, the last of which dates back to
in winter 2020-2021.
We continue to make regular improvements while keeping the charm and authenticity
of our beautiful Provençal Bastide.
Ecology and sustainable development
In recent years, sustainable development has become one of the priorities of our society. Indeed, all possible efforts are being made to combat climate change and protect nature.
Bathroom linen and bed linen : All our linen is made of organic cotton and treated by the supplier with non-polluting green products. this guarantees a regulated use of the washing water. We provide you with ecological and recyclable Kraft bags in order to dispose of the bathroom linen that you wish to change.
Waste: all our waste is sorted and stored in suitable containers and is recycled as far as possible, we minimize the use of plastic.
Cleaning products: we use eco-labeled products for all the cleaning of the rooms and common areas as well as for the kitchen.
Lighting: We mainly use new generation LED bulbs. LED lighting is the most efficient, longest lasting, making it the ideal sustainable lighting. Due to its long service life, luminaires and LED bulbs are replaced much less often and therefore thrown away much less. LED lighting also reduces energy consumption, but also the light pollution of the night sky.
Heating and air conditioning: each room is equipped with a reversible heat pump for heating and air conditioning, we recommend that you turn off your air conditioning when you leave your room or open your windows.
in winter a temperature of 19 degrees is maintained throughout the hotel by our central heating powered by a latest generation gas boiler.
The Minibar in your room is class A, low consumption .
Restoration : We limit packaging as much as possible in the strict application of mandatory health standards in the hotel and catering industry and respect short circuits for the majority of our food purchases.
Water: the water supply is regulated and the toilets are water efficient.
Wastewater: It is filtered in a regularly maintained retention tank before any discharge into the sewers.
We reduce the use of insecticides, herbicides, fungicides. We use organic fertilizers and water in a reasoned way. Our plantings are locally adapted.
